Our Mission

Texas 4000 is dedicated to fighting cancer by sharing hope, knowledge and charity. We cultivate the next generation to lead the fight against cancer through our cornerstone event, a more than 4,000-mile bike ride from Austin to Anchorage.

HOPE

Texas 4000 is the longest annual charity ride in the world (it's twice the length of the Tour de France!). We share hope by riding for those who can't. Through our cross country journey, we share our stories in the communities and cherish those that are shared with us. Hope is what keeps us fighting, riding, and loving.

KNOWLEDGE

The 70 day ride travels through three routes from Austin TX, to Anchorage AK in which riders host informational programs about cancer prevention in various communities along the ride.

CHARITY

Texas 4000 for Cancer (T4K) is a non-profit founded in 2004. Since then, Texas 4000 has raised over $4 million, which has gone towards funding various cancer research projects at MD Anderson Cancer Center, the UT Biomedical Engineering Department, and other programs involved in the fight against cancer.
